"The Cask of Amontillado" Before You Read: Revenge

People seek revenge. People seek revenge because someone else might have done something bad to them. They victim seeks revenge because they want to get even. Some people believe in getting even, or "eye for an eye." In addition, some seek revenge becuase they have been humiliated. As result, they humiliate them back. An example of revenge can be a family member that was killed, and they want to get revenge. Girls and guys might seek revenge after a break up. For example, in the song by Carrie Underwood, the girl destroys her ex-boyfriend's car with a baseball bat.  Revenge can tear apart families and cause people to act selfish.

English 9- Period 4 Autobiographical Narrative

Title

This happened all around 7th grade when i was 12 years old. My family got sarbed because I wasn't going to school. When I was in seventh grade, I would pretend to go to school. Instead of walking to the school, I would walk to my friend’s house.

From there, we would go to an abandoned area that had a roof and four walls and a little hole as the door. It was an empty little shanty with many steps. I chose to go skate and kick it with the homies. I would skip school very often without my mom knowing I was even going to school because she was busy working full time to support me and my brother. So we can have a stable environment to live in

A few months later, I got home from skating with my friends and I was still ditching school. As walked in the door, I could see my mom. She was furious. In a yelling voice she lectured me. She was mad at me. She had received a letter in the mail with records of my absences and tardies. She looked at me and said “What The F**k is this why have you been missing so many days of school. As I looked at her just staring I said the truth scared what she was going to say say next and she appreciated it and said if I ever left again i would be grounded for a really long time.

About a month later, we had to go to Montecito High School to a meeting regarding my truancies. In that meeting me and my mom had to sit in a table with a bunch of random people. They asked questions concerning why I wasn't going to school they were blaming my mom. So then I was like no I was ditching school on my own. Then I was like she always woke me up on time to go to school but I just didn't do what I was suppose to do. So after the meeting was done and all over with they gave me and my mom so guidelines saying that had to attend school and they gave me a certain amount of days I could miss. If I had missed more day’s then I should have I would have to go back on a Sarb. So as soon as I went home my mom told me “your bright and I know you can do better your just making dumb mistakes”.

Now I am looking back and I felt bad because it made my mom look bad as a parent. So to be honest my mom is a good parent and she didn't deserve to get what I gave her. So after the meeting I apologized for my actions. Then I was starting to go to school. Over time she was getting proud of me and she said “Even though what you did was wrong I am proud of you for turning yourself around and I love you”.

Academic Language Practice Paragaph 13

Do violent video games contribute to youth violence? Critics say violent video games are INVOLVED in school shootings. At least 97 PERCENT of 12 to 17 year olds play violent video games. They INTERPRET that violent video games may reduce violence by serving as a substitute for rough and tumble play and by providing a safe outlet for aggressive and angry feelings. Politicians want to limit the sell of violent video games to minors because they feel it increases bulling and shootings. I personally do not feel that violent video games make kids violent because it can be something else like abuse, or movies.

Meagan thinks video games do not contribute to youth violence because She thinks that even if they didn't play violent video games they might still be violent.

Jamie thinks video games do contribute to youth violence because her son always wants to play with guns and pretend to kill people.

Fueds

One feud I am familiar with is the feud between Walkers and Humans.
These two groups of people dislike each other because the walkers are the living dead awaken to eat the living. The groups show that they are in a feud because the walkers are trying to eat the humans.
As a result of the feud the groups will keep fighting till which ever one is terminated first.In opianin the humans are gonna over rule the walkers.
The feud will end when the walkers are all dead.

Veterans Day

I would not enlist in the military because they are pretty much just getting thanked and everything for killing innocent or non innocent people.
They kill people and get treated like heroes. Another reason is i don't think i can just be away from my family like that. Additionally i think the war right now is so point less like we shouldn't even be in a war right now. The military is just pretty much being bullies. So right now i do not plan on going to the marines.

Should doctors be allowed to help critically ill patients commit suicide?

I think that doctors have the CONSENT to help someone end their life, if they want because if they are going threw so much pain and they just want it to stop, then they should be able to speak for themselves as humans what they want. Even if it is against the doctors CRITERIA. Like if the person thinks that they have had a good life then there is no point for it to go bad because of an illness. But if the person just wants to be suicidal then doctors shouldn't help people with that. But people should have the right to tell someone they cant end their life because there is a chance they will survive. So i think doctors should help patients end their life as long as it is a legitimate reason.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot twice once in the neck and once in the head at 12:30, He was pronounced dead at 1:00 P.M. He was shot in front of his wife Jacqueline and died in front of her too. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the crime, but was shot and killed two days later by Jack Ruby before a trial could take place. I enjoy sleeping because it makes me feel free. I decide to sleep because i feel that there is nothing better to on campus because i am always bored on campus. While i am sleeping i dream about different stuff but mostly being at home with my  family such as my mom and dad and my little brother skyller. I enjoy sleeping because it is the one place no one can tell me to stop kursing and tell me what i am saying is inappropriate.In reflection i should sleep more because i can always escape from the harsh reality that i am in.

When I was in middle school, I was innocent because I thought I could fight anyone. Then, I experienced getting suspended.  This helped me to become compassionate because I realized that it wasn't worth it.

Dragons' Den Friends or Adults?

I think that caring adults are more important because most of the adults that care about me are family. Friends come and go you can always make new ones but family is with you the whole time. Caring adults can give you good advice about school and stuff like that. Friends can be peer pressuring you or be going down the wrong path and taking you down there with them. In my mind your family should be one of the top priorities in your life and friends should never come before family.So I think family should be more important.

Dia de los Muertos

Mexicans celebrate the day of the dead. The article “Day of the Dead Facts" is about a holiday that people celebrate for their loved ones who have passed away. This occurs on November 1st and 2nd in cemeteries and houses, mostly in Mexico and cities where many Mexican-Americans live. The people involved are family members of the ones who died. The events include making altars containing: food and drink that the person liked, clothes they wore, and symbols of the hobbies they enjoyed. This happens because they may be haunted if they don't and to remember their dead family members. As a result of this, many people are beginning to celebrate Dia de los Muertos in many other places.

Internet Safety Project - Public or Private Profile

Teenagers should keep their stuff private because there are weird people out there like pedophile. A reason why they should keep profile private is because they never know if someone that they are trying to get away from is looking for them. Another reason is because random people, stalkers, or online predators may follow you. They might also have bad intentions. Teenagers need to be careful and not publicize their information online to stangers.

Dragons' Den: Would You Rather?

I would rather be smart than pretty/handsome the rest of my life. One reason is because if I were really smart, I would get a good job. With that good job, I would get a better pay. With that money, I would pay to be better-looking.  If I were just pretty for the rest of my life, I would not be smart. It would take work to become smart. Additionally, I could also be successful and probably would not have to work again.  One last reason is that one cannot loses one' s intelligence. Looks can be destroyed in an accident or a fire, while intelligence can't.  In the future, I hope to be smart and not depend on looks for my success.

Plot Assessment Project - 9

PLOT:
The main characters lost hope to live and are lonely. They meet each other at the looker room. Winry asks "is there a reason to keep moving forward?". She came back from Japan because her dad was sick and he had business than came back to the states with her mom after her dad died. Cody is next to her and starts wondering how she is talking to. Cody's mom died while she was giving birth to Cody and his dad becomes depressed. His dad starts to drink and smoke till Cody and his dad gets into a fight. His dad hits him and hates his dad from that day on. He starts to think to himself  "she isn't talking to a hopeless fool" but he answers. "You got to keep moving forward and find a purpose to live". After that they start to hangout together and start to come closer together as friends.Winry and Cody get closer and closer and build a strong relationship. And that is what the story is about.

Campus donations

How i feel about people also known as, Friends of San Pasqual donating stuff. Well i feel like we have an extra advantage then most other kids. I think that the people that do this are something else because they take time out of there day and money that they have earned and they just use it to donate to us. So for them to do that it is pretty amazing how there are people out there willing to do that for a bunch of random kids. So i feel really fortunate to have such privileges as what are given to me,

"When the going gets tough the tough gets going"

I agree because when you are doing something and it accumilates to being tough eventually it will become easy as you get more in to the proccess. When you do something that is hard. In time it will become easy. Like for example when i first came to San Pasqual Academy it was kind of hard. Like the routine of everything was diffrent they were pretty strict. But like not strict i just didnt get it in a new enviorment. So eventullay i got use to it and it became more esiairer.

To Ms Jones

                To Ms Jones i wanted to say sorry for trying to snatch your pocket book. I now relize that it was wrong of me to try to snatch your pocket book and which you worked so hard to get the money in there. I guess when i want something i took it a little to extreme. All so i just wanted to say thank you for not telling on me to the police, and thanks for that dinner that you prepared for me. Itwas pretty good all so thanks for giving me money for those new blue swade shoes i really apreciate it. Now i realize that stealing is bad so thank you for helping by teaching me that imprtant lesson in life,

Dragon Den

I learned not to jaywalk. You cant jaywalk becuase if you cross a little bit too late then you can end up getting hit by a car. Jaywalking is bad because if you get cought by a cop you can all so get a ticket. If you you jaywalk it is a very very bad habit to get in to because you can get killed or in serious trouble. I learned not to jaywalk when i almost got hit by a car and got a ticket from a cop. From then on i have always used the cross walk things that are provded on pretty much every street so now i use thoughs and i have been playing it safe so far.

Power Outage

So for the power outage I was on a off campus supervised visit with my dad. Just five minutes before i got there I noticed that the street lights were all off. So i just thought that they were trying to fix them or they broke down or something. Then when my dad comes we were going to eat at Panda Express. When we go in to the Panda Express they say we can give you the food but not a receipt, so we waited then the workers in the Panda Express come out and said were are serving plates for 5 dollers for two plates. So when the visit was done and i was on my way back to the academy, and i walked in to the house and all the lights were off it was pretty dark in there. The at 7:30 Pretty much everyone was at the cafe because they had generaters in the cafe so at 9 everyone went back to there house and i fell asleep at like 12:00 Because i was board so it was an experience that i don't want to experience again.

Animal Paragraph

My Kingsnake and i have a special bond. We have a good relationship because we have known each other for a while. He is a good snake like when i hold him he just wraps around my hand and arm and just chills pretty much. A thing that is uniqe about him is when he eats because i get to see him eat. Then when he is done eating i put him back into the cage and he just goes under his bedding or in his water dish or he just chills on the little tree branch in his cage.

So i have been running for a while trying to find some food to stay awake so that i can get as far away from that crazy guy as i can. So as i am walking through the island i am making traps hopping he would fall in them and i am also looking for stuff to make decent weapons. Nothing better then hat he has a little group dogs and gun, But it is better the nothing i suppose. Now as i am setting one of the traps i hear a gun shot and it seems really close, so i thought to myself for a second he couldent possibly be that close after i had led him into the wrong direction he is better at hunting then i thought so i finish the trap the hide behind a tree and he hits the tap and it nearly misses him. Then he spots me then i start running and that when he sent the dogs after me so i was running then the dogs cornerd me to the edge of a cliff going into a body of water. I think he thought i was dead or something because when i rose up from the water he wasent there,the water had dragged me to the castle. So me and the crazy guy start to fight then of course i win because i am talking right now so after the long fight i jump into a boat and leave.

Dragon Den

My favorite brand of shoes is conerse and converse cts. They come in all diffrent types of shoes such as canvas and swade.  I like both of canvas and swade, except one are skate shoes and one are kind of like basketball shoes i guess. They come in alot of diffrent colors like blue, white, red, orange, grey, brown and, black. That is pretty much all i remember.

Villan

My favorite  villian is D.r Doom from fantastic four. He is a ordinary person who goes bad after these four scientist come back from outer space with powers. At first he is cool wih those four people but then all of a sudden he goes bad towrds him. So his outfit is like a meatal suit and face with a cape.  The colors are like tin green and black  and he is a strong as steel.

Syllabus

I feel pretty good about 9th grade english I think it is pretty cool i guess. For the reading and writing it means to me as you have to explain your voice, and write biographical and autobiographical narritives or short stories. For the warm up and the 10 second sound off it seems like you have to read blog post for assignments for that day, and 10 second sound off you have to put your computers and acute angle and read and answer the question one the board. For units it gives you an overview of the first quarter on reading, writing, spelling academic vocabulary, cyber saftey and , dragon den and, portfolios. The standard grading rubic tells you what the expectations are for the effort you put into your work. Also the same goes with the behavior rubics. Absense and tardy tasks here are some of the tasks you have to do. You have to enter the room quietly and raise your hand for the teacher to collect your pass, and you should look around to see what everyone is doing and you should do the same. Expectations is to mainly give all your attention to the teacher and doo waht she says to do. So there is your breif summary on on my english fourth period syllabus

Dragon den color

 

The color that I think represents me is brown. I think brown represents me because my skin is brown, and my favorite color is brown, and i have brown blood inside me and my family. Another reason why I think it represents me is that brown seems like a strong color, and in my opinion I label myself as a strong person. Brown all so reminds me of perseverance, and I feel like a have perseverance most of the time, and brown is the color that is and always will b my life. So that is the color that i think represents me!

Conflict

 

Once there was a fight. There were to diffrent stories eachother were saying. John said mike started it, and mike said john started it. Johns side of the story he was saying that mike was talking crap to him and that mike pushed him then he pushed him back. Then john said he pushed him back and then mike hit him in the face. Now mikes side of the story mike said that john was bulling him so he stood up to john then john hit him for standing up for himself. So the conflict of the story is two kids got in a fight and there are two diffretn stories.

Movie Plots

In the movie Jaws, there is a family that move's to an island. There is a kid he is somewere around 5 to 10. His dad is a sheriff for there little town, and the mom is a stay at home mom. So far the dad hatess the water coming from a city were there is hardley any water. Well they discover a bodie on the beach that the sheriff's office belives to be a shark attack. But the gouvener tries to say it's not because it is close to summer and everyone goes to that town because of the beutiful waters. So as summer comes by everyone is in the water having a good time. The shark comes and attacks a little kid. So as everyone is rushing out of the water a mom see's that she can't find her son. Her sons floty washes to shore with daluted blood. Then the gouvener finally realizes that there is a shark. But the gouvener dosent want to shut down the beaches because there making such good money this year. So the sheriff and two other guys go out in a boat to try to catch the beast that has been terrorising there waters. So after a day and a night the shark shows up he eats one of the guys, and sinks the boat so the sherriff just before the boat goes down he realizes a gas tank in the sharks mouth. So he takes one big breath and one lucky shot and the sharks head blows up. Now the two remaing charcters use two floating barrels and pretty much swim there way back to shore!!!!!!!

The First Day Of School

My first day of school at San Pasqual Academy High School. It was pretty cool, it wasent anything i expected. So far for my first experience of high school it was pretty tight. In first period geology we mostley did itroduction, second period P.E everyone was playing basketball, third period math we did like a little qizz on the sylabus. Fourth period english we went over the sylabus and some people made gmail accounts, fith period culinary arts we didnt do much because no one had hats. Sixth period earth science we wrote down that days agenda and read like a little article and wrote about it. So my firsst day of school went pretty good.
